Areas of Mallorca – North
The north includes Pollensa and Alcudia and their surrounding countryside and towns, namely Cala San Vicente, Campanet, Formentor, Mal Pas, Moscari, Muro, Sa Pobla and more. The range of properties is extremely diverse and includes exquisitely refurbished country houses retaining all the original charm, magnificent estates, seaside villas and apartments. The new highway finished in 2006 running through Inca cut down driving time by over 20 minutes. Now it only takes a little over 40 minutes to drive out to these northern towns.
Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa
The strict moratorium on building activity during the past two years has helped preserve the architectural heritage and intrinsic rural beauty of the surrounding countryside and the historical village of Pollensa, with its wonderful restaurants and old town houses. Close by is Puerto Pollensa, spectacular views of the crystal blue Mediterranean sea and the bay of Pollensa with its beautiful marina, the pine walk and wonderful sandy beaches are only a few of the many unrivalled features which make it a superb family destination.
Prices for a two bedroom apartment start from about 300.000 Euro. A 3 bedroom townhouse starts approximately from 400.000 Euro and a luxury villa or country house from about 1.300.000 Euro.
Alcudia and Puerto de Alcudia
The old town of Alcudia has been completely renovated and now features a series of stylish restaurants, bars, shops and boutique hotels, which have opened up along the main streets. Puerto Alcudia and its marina have been recently remodeled. The Alcudia harbor now features moorings for over 700 yachts with full onsite facilities and a new promenade lines the waterfront. The Bay of Alcudia features one of the largest beaches on the island and is a great family location. The nature reserve of S’Albufera is also ideal for nature lovers and walkers. The Alcanada Golf Course, part of which borders the coastline with fantastic views, is one of the most famous golf courses on the island.
Prices for a smaller apartment start from 200.000 Euro, for a townhouse from 350.000 Euro and for a villa from 850.000 Euro.
